How long does it take to get a new roof installed on a new building?
It depends on the size of your building. We can complete a new roof on a 1600 square foot building in two to three days. Larger buildings may take more time. The weather needs to cooperate.
When we put together your quote we'll tell you how long it should take for your building. Once we establish a timeframe, we stick to it (weather permitting). We are aware that other portions of your project depend on us completing the roof work in a timely fashion, so we work as swiftly and as efficiently as possible. What’s included in new roof construction?
Everything down to the framing: the roof deck, soffits, fascia, ice and water shielding, flashing, venting, and of course the new roofing material itself (usually asphalt)
What type of roofing systems do you install?
On new homes we install asphalt shingle roofing. Here in the Peoria area asphalt shingling is usually the most practical and cost-effective type of roofing for our local weather conditions.
On commercial buildings we may install asphalt, metal, EPDM, PVC, and TPO roofing. The type that we'll recommend will depend largely on your building design and on your preference for a given roofing material.
How can I estimate roofing costs for new construction?
The only way to get an accurate estimate on the cost of your project is to call for a free quote. Roof cost calculators and other tools will often vastly underestimate the budget you'll need. You may be able to use an average of $4.50 per square foot to get a rough idea, but don't make any plans until you have harder numbers to work with.
