Home Addition Roof Installation

Adding a new room or covered porch to your home is an exciting way to raise its value and inhabit a new space while ensuring your house continues to serve your family's needs. Yet if you want the roof of the addition to tie into your house correctly, you'll need to work with a roofing company that is experienced at installing roofs for additions.

The team at Landmark Roofing has handled many home additions here in the Peoria area. Our work is watertight and will look as though it’s always been part of your house.

How do you attach an addition roof to your existing roof?

We get the new roof framed and sheathed. Once that's done we can use a technique called a cut valley to add a little bit of new underlayment to parts of the old roof before adding an additional layer of shingles to join it to the old one.  Then we shingle your new roof.  Our main concern throughout that process is to ensure the existing structure stays watertight while we work.

Is it cheaper to add a home addition up or out?

While building up vs. out might have an effect on your other construction costs, it doesn't matter to the roofing quote. What will affect the roofing quote is the square footage of your addition and the pitch of your new roof.

How much will the roof on my addition cost?

It's impossible to say without seeing the scope of your project. Call us for a free quote. We're happy to discuss your project with you and answer any other questions you may have.

Once you give us a quote, we stand by it. There won't be any unpleasant surprises. If you're trying to pre-plan and pre-budget you can give us your architect's plans. We'll be able to use that information to give you a solid number to work with.
